1. As a world record holder in powerlifting, what qualities of Matt Poe attracted you to train with him for the Atlantis Strongest Man in America Contest in 2005?

MATT IS AN INTENSE GUY. MATT CLEARLY IS AN AUTHORITY ON STRENGTH TRAINING. I GUESS IN A NUTSHELL HIS SECOND TO NONE KNOWLEDGE OF BIOMECHANICS, INTENSE ATTITUDE, AND HIS CONSISTENCY TO SHOW UP TO ALL THE WORKOUTS.

2. What do you think his best lift is as a strength athlete?

WITHOUT A DOUBT THE OVERHEAD PRESS.

3. What do you think attracts athletes to him as a speed coach?

MATT IS A COOL GUY BUT THAT WON'T TAKE YOU TO THE NEXT LEVEL. UNDERSTANDING OF HUMAN MOVEMENT, ANATOMY, PERIODIZATION PROVEN RESULTS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HANDS ON EXPERIENCE.

4. What sticks out in your mind as Matt's most memorable moment in competition this last year?

AT TEXAS STRONGEST MAN WHEN HE CAME BACK AND MADE HIS THIRD ATTEMPT ON THE OVERHEAD. MATT MISSED TEH SECOND, THAT TOOK EXTREME GUTS AND MENTAL TOUGHNESS.

5. He has influenced a lot of pro and amateur athletes across America. If at all, did he have any influence on you in any way?

I THINK PHILOSPHICALLY WE WERE ALREADY INLINE. MATT RENFORCED MANY OF MY CORE PHILOSPHIES.

6. Does he use steroids any manner?

NO HE DOES NOT. NO ONE WITH THAT HIGH OF A BODY FAT PERCENTAGE DOES I IMAGINE :)

7. What does he add most to the sport of weightlifting?

GOOD TECHNICAL FEEDBACK, A POSITIVE ATTITUDE, AN INETNSE ATTITUDE AND A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR.
